He is also one of hundreds benefitting from training organised by a partnership between FAO, UNHCR and the Turkish government which gives them the skills needed to find work in Turkey's agricultural sector. Takahiro Iwasaki is best known for his detailed miniature landscapes, made from found materials such as toothbrushes, books, flags and used clothing - even hair. Takahiro's work is very much a reflection of his relationship with Japan, having grown up in Hiroshima.

Takahiro Iwasaki is best known for his detailed miniature landscapes, made from found materials such as toothbrushes, books, flags and used clothing – even hair. Having grown up in Hiroshima, his works, while whimsical, are melancholy, reflecting Japan’s trauma both historic and more recent with the Fukushima nuclear disaster. One of six episodes I shot in China and Japan for Bloomberg's Brilliant Ideas series.
